Foregoing his original royal facade, K. Rool this time around takes on the role of a pirate captain, with his Kremling kohorts now referred to as the Kremling Kuthroats and assuming various positions in a crew of pirates, complete with outfits to match. K. Rool himself is decked out in a large, dark captain's overcoat with laces in checkered black and white, black belt with a skull and crossbones buckle and gold lined black half-moon shaped pirate hat atop his head. He is armed with a blunderbuss, which he has at the ready at all times. The villainous kaptain is able to utilize the weapon in various tasks unbefitting to a gun of its age and caliber, such as shooting Kannonballs (as opposed to buckshot), Wooden Barrels and three different types of small chemical clouds that change the movement scheme of anyone they hit, shooting a small gout of fire from the bell end of it to rush distances, and using a vacuum suction to suck up any small objects nearby (be they Kannonballs or Kongs).
