DESCRIPTION

The Palmolive Building is a 565 foot (172m) tall building in Chicago, Illinois. Built in 1929, this building is one of Chicago's most prominent examples of Art Deco architecture.The building is famously known for previously housing the offices of Playboy Magazine until 1990. During this time, the building had a large Playboy Bunny and letters spelling out the name of the magazine across the top of the building.Until the 1980s, the Palmolive Building had a beacon that rotated 360 degrees on the building's spire.
