At the corner of Broad Street and Wall Street stands one of the most powerful buildings in the world. Since 1903, the facade of the New York Stock Exchange has been the ceremonial face of American capitalism, the place where markets move, fortunes are made, and history is witnessed daily behind six of the most celebrated Corinthian columns ever raised.

Completed in 1903 to the design of architect George B. Post, the Broad Street facade is one of the finest examples of Classical Revival architecture in the United States. Six massive Corinthian columns rise from a rusticated two-storey podium of Georgia marble, crowned by one of the most celebrated pediment sculpture groups in American art. That pediment, conceived by sculptor John Quincy Adams Ward and executed by Paul Wayland Bartlett, depicts eleven allegorical figures representing the commercial and industrial spirit of America. At its centre stands Integrity, flanked by Agriculture, Mining, Science, Industry and Invention.

The building was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1978 and remains the most recognised financial building on earth. This model depicts the facade as originally completed in 1903, faithfully recording George B. Post's architectural intent before subsequent alterations, the NYSE as its architect intended it to be seen.
