DESCRIPTION

PITRAK (BURDOCK) - ANATOLIAN AMULET PENDANT

A production-ready pendant based on the Pitrak (Burdock) motif from traditional Anatolian kilim weaving. The burdock is the spiked seed head that catches on wool and clothing - woven into a kilim its thorns turn away the evil eye, while its density stands for abundance. The Turkish phrase pitrak gibi, meaning covered all over, comes from the same plant. The design follows both readings at once: eight spiked arms radiating from a densely set centre.

Modeled in Rhino as a clean, closed, watertight solid.Ready for resin printing and direct casting - no repair or remeshing needed.
