GYROID lowpoly - 3D printable sample

GYROID lowpoly - 3D printable sample 3D print model

Description

This is thickened lowpoly GYROID surface. The gyroid is an infinitely connected triply periodic minimal surface discovered by Alan Schoen in 1970. The gyroid separates space into two oppositely congruent labyrinths of passages. Channels run through the gyroid labyrinths in the (100) and (111) directions.

This sample is 3D printable. The cut is made so that no support is required. For 3D printing I recommend using a brim (3-5mm wide). Printed model can be used as a pencil holder or simply as a decoration. You can also hang it on a christmas tree ;).
