The only thing I absolutely disliked about the original design was that the factory drip tray is way too high, leaving space only for tiny espresso cups.

To solve this problem, I decided to do some reverse engineering. I made a precise 3D scan of the original parts and created this completely redesigned, low-profile alternative from scratch.

Key Improvements:No Internal Ribs: I removed the original grid and internal ribs to create a clean, modern look that is incredibly easy to wash, empty, and maintain.More Mug Clearance: It lowers the profile significantly, finally giving you enough vertical space to fit your favorite taller coffee mugs or glasses under the portafilter.Perfect Snug Fit: Because it was created using a real 3D scan of the machine, it slides in and fits just like a factory component.Note: This is a digital STL/3MF file for 3D printing. 3D printing settingsRecommended Print Settings & MaterialsSince this tray will hold warm water and coffee drips, I highly recommend using water-resistant and temperature-stable materials:

Material: PETG or ASA/ABS are highly recommended. (Avoid standard PLA as it can warp from moisture and heat over time).Wall Loops: 3 or 4 walls to make sure the tray is completely watertight.Infill: 15% - 20% (Gyroid or Grid pattern).Resolution: 0.20mm for a smooth and clean finish.Supports: Turn on supports if your slicer requires them for the overhanging outer edges.
