I had a lot of fun designing this little lamb. I wanted to make something that would look good sitting on a desk, but also have a practical use beyond just being a cute decoration. The result is a fluffy little sheep that can hold your pencils and pens, and can also be used as a small vase or flower pot.

I also wanted this to be a model that is enjoyable to print, not something that requires a lot of fiddling around with supports or complicated printing setups. The lamb is divided into 10 separate parts, which fit together snugly with the help of glue. This also makes it possible to print the different pieces in different colors without needing an AMS or any other multicolor printing system. You can simply print each part in the color you want and assemble everything afterward.

The model has been designed with printing in mind. The cavities for the hooves have sloped surfaces to help minimize the need for supports, and the parts are generally shaped to print with as few supports as possible. Less time dealing with supports means more time enjoying the finished little sheep.

At its default size, the lamb is 120 mm wide, making it a nice size for a desk, shelf, or craft table. Fill it with pencils and pens, use it as a decorative planter, or turn it into a little vase. You can even experiment with different color combinations to give your lamb its own personality.
