As a big fan of the Harry Potter world and books, I created this Sorting Hat Booknook to add a magical touch to any bookshelf! It was designed to fit perfectly into its base, with a discreet support at the back of the hat, giving the illusion that it’s emerging from the books.

The box measures 18 cm in height, 75 mm in width, and 88 mm in depth, while the hat is approximately 123 mm tall. If you wish to resize it, make sure to keep the same percentage for both parts. The fitting is designed to be secure without the need for glue, but be sure to insert it carefully to avoid scratches.

3D printing settings:

Layer height: 0.20 mm (box)

If you want better quality for the hat, choose 0.16 mm or lower, such as 0.10 mm or 0.08 mm!

Supports: Not required (for the box) / Tree supports (for the hat)

Filament: PLA

Box: 15% infill, 2 walls, gyroid, no supports – approx. 140g

Hat: 10% infill, 3 walls, gyroid, tree supports – approx. 90g (100g with supports)
