Turn your bookshelf into a playful visual scene with these Cat in Portal Bookends, a functional and decorative STL model for 3D printing.
The design divides a stylized cat into two complementary sections: the head and front legs on one side, and the hind legs and curved tail on the other. Each section meets an oval portal-shaped panel, creating the illusion that the cat enters a portal beside your books and emerges at the opposite end.
Place the two sections on either side of a row of books to complete the effect. The books conceal the space between the cat’s front and rear, making the animal appear to stretch through your collection.
Pointed ears, small eye cutouts, a gently curved back, and an upward-curling tail give the silhouette a recognizable feline character. Flat rectangular bases complete the design, while the simple geometric forms suit modern bookshelves, reading corners, home offices, and creative workspaces.
Print both sections in the same color for a cohesive appearance, or paint the portal details in a contrasting shade to emphasize the illusion.
Features:- Creative Portal Illusion: The cat’s front and rear sections appear on opposite sides of your books, creating the impression of an animal passing through two portals.

- Modern Minimalist Design: A clean cat silhouette and simple oval portal forms complement modern, Scandinavian, Japandi, and contemporary interiors.

- Flexible Spacing: Position the front and rear sections closer together or farther apart to accommodate different widths of book collections.
- Functional Shelf Decoration: Combines bookend use with an animal-themed display. Book support depends on the printed size, weight, shelf surface, and books used.

- Brim: Optional if the bases or tall sections need additional bed adhesion.
- Consistent Scaling: Apply the same scale factor to both cat sections for a coordinated appearance.
