Diving System for Model Submarines (WTC) – 3D Printable KitBring your RC submarine to life with this advanced, field-tested diving system. This comprehensive set of 3D files contains all the printable parts required to build a reliable WTC (Water Tight Cylinder), specifically designed for a 110mm diameter tube.
The Principle: Innovative Pressureless SystemThis system operates on a pressureless principle. A pump moves water in and out of a ballast tank, while air escapes through a clever, included snorkel positioned as high as possible in the model.
Underwater: The pump empties the tank against a slight vacuum.
Surface: As soon as the boat rises and the snorkel opens, the tank is filled with air at the pump's full capacity.
What’s Included in the Download? The files are highly versatile and offer flexibility for various configurations:
End Caps: Suitable for various servo setups (4-servo X-Rudder, 2-servo X-Rudder, or traditional rudders).
Hubs & Couplings: * Motor hub for 5010-360KV brushless motors.
Pump hub for Extron Kavan or standard pumps.
Various servo hubs (Midi or standard).
Magnetic couplings for 10mm magnets.
Ballast Tanks: Choice of a 182mm tank (approx. 1000ml) or a 212mm tank (approx. 1170ml).
Electronics: RC and battery hub for 3s 2200mAh LiPo batteries.
Extras: Specific parts for the Walrus class (1/60 - 1/50) and a specialized 5mm snorkel (resin print).
Specifications & DimensionsDiameter: Designed for 110mm tubes (Acrylic 110x3mm).
Length: Varies between 500mm and 550mm depending on the configuration.
Connections: Features two servo connections at the rear and two at the front (e.g., for dive planes in the sail or lighting).
Building SupportIncluded with the files, you will find:
A concise manual.
A detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) including part numbers where possible.
Reference photos of the required hardware.

Important Information for the BuilderExperience Required: Building functional RC submarines requires experience with model boat construction. This is not a ready-made kit, but a high-quality technical foundation.
Non-printable Parts: The snorkel requires an 8mm PP hollow ball (not included).
Waterproofing: The 3D-printed end caps and ballast tank must be treated with Dichtol or a similar sealant to ensure full watertightness.
Recommended Print SettingsEnd Caps: PETG
Ballast Tank: ABS-GF (recommended for optimal strength)
Other Parts: PETG or similar material.
