Description

This Humanoid Robotic Lower Arm consists of: -The Mech-A2 10 DOF Robotic Hand Refer to the included Mech-A2 Hand Manual for assembly instructions of the hand. This is a right hand -The newly designed 3 DOF Wrist and Forearm Can be used for a right or left hand.

The Hand: The hand is about 1.5 times larger than an average adult human's hand, this has MECH in the title after all.

10 degrees of actuation, 2 degrees of actuation per finger and thumb. 10 9g servos needed. Can be programmed to do multiple gestures or hand signs.

Parts were designed to fit a 9g SG90 Micro servo. If using a different servo, ensure it is of similar dimensions.

Screw Posts which are 5 mm in diameter, 16 mm long are used as a fundamental hardware part along with their mating screws. Like this ( https://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Chicago-Screws-Screw-Posts/dp/B003O9ISP8 )

Rest of hardware is standard M2 and M3 screws.

The Wrist and Forearm: Complete assembly instruction included. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the Mech-A2 hand. It has 3 DOF bringing the Arm's total to 13 DOF.

It was designed to use standard servos like the MG995. COMPONENT LIST Standard Servos

  • 3 Are needed for wrist and forearm assembly. Arduino Nano
  • You will need to solder the header pins to the front of the Nano as opposed to the rear like it is used commonly. PCA9685 module NRF24L01 (optional, for radio control) Servo extension cables
  • You will need at least 12 of these, 10 for the hand servos and 3 for the forearm and wrist servos (the lowest mounted servo may not need and extension cable) Power connector: There is accommodation for one to be installed on the side of the base.
