Sea Urchin Lure Series

This sea urchin lure is the third in a series of six lures, ranging from the smallest and lightest to the largest.. We are starting with Version 3, the smallest model in the lineup. Links to all future versions will be available under each release, allowing you to choose the size and weight that best suits your fishing style.

The files are optimized for both FDM and SLA printing. The spherical mold design was chosen because it provides the most reliable casting results. Other mold concepts were tested, but due to the numerous 45-degree spines, many cavities did not fill properly, and creating effective vent channels proved difficult.

With the spherical design, every channel can be reached using a long needle. If necessary, you can use a drill driver and a needle to carefully clear the final 2 mm of a channel. This is a quick and simple process that ensures perfect flow throughout the mold.

Before first use, remember to apply a small drop of lubricant to the mold. I personally print, test, and cast every design shown here, and I share the actual results. Please keep this in mind when comparing these files to others on the market.

Having worked with soft plastic lure casting for more than 10 years, I refine every mold to make the casting process as easy and reliable as possible. Many designers create attractive 3D models but never test the final production process, which often leads to avoidable mistakes. Every mold in this series is developed with real-world casting experience in mind.
