A set of Ju-87 Stuka wheels with flattened weight on ground tyres, suitable for Ju-87A & B models. Specifically designed for use on the 1/24 Scale Airfix Stuka rubber tyres. These should be OK for the Trumpeter 1/24 & 1/32 scale Stukas or other models..
Versions with & without attached Mainwheel Axles are supplied. Individual Assemble wheels, as well as sets with unassembled mainwheels in 2 different arrangements are supplied. The models are made at real world scale using Metres as units.
The real world height (Z Axis) of the model set (ie the mainwheel tyre), is 0.76743M. To create a 1/24th scale print, in a slicer using mm, use a scale of 4166.666 with uniform scaling set. Alternatively, The Z axis should be set to 31.976mm, with uniform scaling set.
Scale Settings:
Useful settings: For 1/72th, Scale = 1388.888%. For 1/48th, Scale = 2083.333% . For 1/32th, Scale = 3125.000%.For 1/24th, Scale = 4166.666%
How to calculate this percentage for the slicer without knowing the model dimensions. First we know that the model unit is 1m, and has been interpreted by the slicer as 1mm. 1m = 1000mm, so to get the right scale, divide 1000 by your scale. EG 1000 divided by 48 = 20.83333. Now multiply the result by 100 because we need a percentage. The final result is 2083.333 as shown above. All other scales use the same formula.
Note: I recommend keeping AA & Image blur to low settings in order to preserve small detail. I also do not recommend allowing the slicer software to do a repair when importing. There are overlapping meshes, and they do print correctly.
