With this square you can mount objects on it because of the grooves. You can see measurements on one of the photos. If you want it for heavy duty work I would suggest you to make it with an appropriate resin casting or use the step file to machine one with a cnc for metal. For metrology purpose you can totally print it with a resin printer to get the maximum precision and use it as is.
