This is a 3D model of an ultra-light aluminum X-axis rail mount designed specifically for 3D printers, utilizing 20x20mm square aluminum tubing with a 2mm wall thickness. The primary objective of this design is to achieve an extremely low weight for the X-axis (approximately 40g for a 300mm length) while maintaining the essential rigidity and load-bearing capacity for high-speed printing operations.
The design incorporates strategically placed cutouts, created via CNC machining, to minimize excess material, making the aluminum mount as lightweight as possible without compromising its performance. Furthermore, the mounting holes are precisely designed to be compatible with MGN9 linear rails, ensuring a perfect fit.
