This simple modification allows you to turn your i3 mega into a semi direct extruder machine. The bracket allows you to mount the original wire pusher unit above the carriage and extruder unit. In this way you can shorten the Teflon tube to a few centimeters.

In the images you can see a thread pusher unit created by me for 3mm filament which is a copy of the original but the principle is the same. You can use with original extruder unit.

Print as you see in the pictures for maximum strength. Use supports. Optimize for 0.4 nozzle, layer 0.2, 2 walls, 1mm top/bottom.
