You will need to handle the CNC programming yourself. I've been doing this hobby since 2013, gaining more experience over time. I have worked with various woods and experimented with many design ideas since I have access to my friend's CNC.

Check:• grip comfort under recoil,• stable aim,• consistent trigger alignment.Joint alignment (critical)Keep the mortise & tenon joint centred at the trigger.Do not shift the tenon/mortise off-center, otherwise the shooting alignment can be affected.Printable handle can be glued only if you use the correct type of adhesive as per material compatibility , small debris can be removed manually .

Manufacturing settingsFor 3D printing a speargun handle, you need materials that balance structural strength, water resistance, and UV stability. Carbon-Fiber PETG (PETG-CF) and ASA are the best all-around choices. Nylon offers the highest impact resistance but requires a marine-grade epoxy seal to prevent water absorption.For the best results, use at least 5 to 6 wall lines (perimeters) and 40–50% infill to maximize structural integrity.

1. Carbon-Fiber PETG (PETG-CF)• Why it works: Carbon-fiber reinforced PETG is stiffer and stronger than standard PETG. It does not degrade or warp significantly in freshwater or saltwater.• Benefits: It offers excellent UV resistance, prints easily, and results in a beautiful matte finish straight off the printer bed.• Drawbacks: Requires a hardened steel nozzle as carbon fiber is highly abrasive.

ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) • Why it works: Often considered the superior, outdoor successor to ABS. It is highly resistant to both UV light and continuous water immersion. • Benefits: Extremely tough with a high heat tolerance so the handle won't warp if left in the sun on a boat deck. • Drawbacks: Tends to warp more than PETG, usually requiring a 3D printer with an enclosed build chamber.Nylon (PA) / Nylon Carbon Fiber (PA-CF) • Why it works: Nylon is virtually indestructible under mechanical stress and absorbs heavy recoil shocks without snapping. • Benefits: Maximum impact resistance, which is ideal for a high-tension speargun. • Drawbacks: Nylon is highly hygroscopic (it absorbs moisture from the air and water) which will cause it to soften and swell in the water. You must coat the finished handle completely in marine-grade epoxy to make it 100% waterproof.CNC / Wood Milling (Precision for DIY & Workshop Builds)This 3D model is designed for milling in hardwoods such as:Padouk, Iroko, Teak, Makore, Sapelli, Kosipo, Mahoganyor any Category 5 wood that doesn’t have high checking tendency.Materials & bonding• Bond strips with epoxy (marine-grade) for durability and stiffnessFile package (for CAM / CNC)• Speargun body extension: STL• Accessories: DXF /STL / (3D print )Note: For wood , carbon fiber panels or stainless steel, you must adjust tooling parameters to your machine/operator setup.
