A precision-engineered, print-in-place haptic magnetic fidget slider designed for effortless 3D printing with zero assembly required. Features embedded internal magnet cavities for 6 mm x 3 mm neodymium magnets, a self-retaining dovetail rail track with built-in mechanical end-stops, and high-tactile diamond knurled grips. Ideal for commercial print shops and individual EDC enthusiasts.Full Technical DescriptionElevate your desktop tactile experience with this Print-in-Place Haptic Magnetic Fidget Slider. Engineered specifically for FDM 3D printing, this model prints as a single complete unit with zero external hardware fasteners, glue, or post-assembly required. The internal mechanism utilizes a precision dovetail sliding track with a calibrated 0.3 mm radial clearance gap to prevent fusing while eliminating side-to-side wobble. Integrated blind end-stops keep the two halves permanently interlocked during aggressive sliding action.Key Engineering Features:
Print-in-Place Assembly: Model prints fully assembled on your print bed.
Enclosed Magnet Cavities: Designed for mid-print pause insertion (M600 command) of 6 mm x 3 mm N52 neodymium magnets (6.3 mm 3.2 mm cavity dimensions).
Optimized Wall Thickness: Features a precise 0.8 mm} plastic air gap between magnets and sliding faces for maximum magnetic pull and sharp tactile clack feedback.
Ergonomic Diamond Knurling
Included File Formats
.STEP (AP214): Fully parametric, non-mesh solid geometry for easy modification and CAD customization.
.3MF: Pre-configured Bambu Studio / PrusaSlicer project file with pre-set layer height, wall loops, and programmed mid-print pause (M600) at the exact magnet cavity layer.
.STL: High-resolution triangulated mesh export for universal slicer compatibility.
3D Print & Slicer Settings
Layer Height: 0.16 mm (Recommended) or 0.20 mm
Wall Loops / Shells: 4 Perimeters
Infill Density: 20%–25% (Gyroid)
Magnet Specs: 16x Neodymium Disc Magnets (6 mm diameter x 3 mm thickness, Grade N52 recommended)
Pause Layer: Program a mid-print pause right before the magnet cavity top bridging layer closes off. Drop magnets in with alternating polarity (N-S-N-S), then hit resume.
