Someone asked me to do this sort of design for them but they wanted sole rights to the design but I decided against it as my objective is to make designs available to fellow modelers.

Industrial Chimneys are found all over the world for all sorts of industries from the 17th Century to the modern day, this is a Chimney design that was made out of brick and many examples of these can still be found today.

Industrial Chimneys can be very tall and this design in real life would be 24m tall (about 78ft).

This design has been designed at OO scale (1/76 scale), even on the OO scale it is over 300mm in height so I have designed it in four sections. Base, Lower Stack, Upper Stack, and Crown. These sections have printed fine on my AnyCubic Photon M3. For Those who model N or other smaller scales, I will include the chimney as one complete item that can be scaled down. If you don't want the chimney to be so tall you can print it without the base and it will still look fine. The main stack is tapered which made the drawing of bricks fun and took a fair length of time to draw, this is reflected in the price of this item slightly.As the stack is in two sections the top section has some steel rings to help hide the join and per some real-life chimneys. I will include a top stack without steel rings in case you prefer this design. I will also include a complete chimney without the rings.

This chimney would look amazing on a model railway or similar with a smoke machine feeding into the bottom of the chimney.

For HO Gauge print at 87%, 1/87 Scale,For O Gauge UK print at 175%, 1/43.5 scale (You will need a large printer),For O Gauge International print at 158%, 1/48 scale (You will need a large printer),For N Gauge UK print at 51.5%, 1/148 Scale, (I have printed this in N scale and it prints fine).

Examples in the photos were printed on a AnyCubic Photon M3 Resin Printer and a Bambu Labs A1 FDM Printer.

This item can be easily printed on a resin or FDM (Filament) printer.

As normal with my designs, there is a balance between accuracy and printability, hopefully not affecting the design of the model too much.Files starting with _ have supports added.

I use AnyCubic Water Washable Resin for most of my items but use AnyCubic ABS Like Resin for anything that needs to be stronger and tougher.
