Modular - Rim Driven - Electric Thruster - Concept

well, the title says it all. been pondering on this design for quite some time, but i would like to have the blades be fixed on the outer rim, and not have a center axis. the angle of the blades in the bladerings inner rotor in this design are fixed and non adjustable, but this can easily be done in the models blade design itself as well.
perhaps we can have stacked different stages of compression that work well in tandem together, maximizing efficiency, not just looking amazing and cool.the design can be stacked to gain more thrust through repetition of the modular design and using a larger outer housing.
