AIRBUS A320 GLARESHIELD PANELS 3D print model
Description
Airbus A320 - Glareshield Panels (Mechanisms not included)
This model includes the following panels (at real aircraft scale and ready for 3D printing):
- Warning Left Panel
- Warning Right Panel
- Efis Left Panel
- Efis Right panel
- FCU panel
The files are designed in a way that allows creating the backlight effect without the need for a laser cutting machine. For that, just do the following steps:
(1) - Print the panels with transparent PLA. (I recommend printing it with 20% infill, and 0.12mm quality). (2) - Apply primer and paint your panels the way you want (Do not sand them yet). (3) - Now with your primer and paint finished, place your sandpaper (I recommend higher grits) on top of a flat surface, and rub the panels on top of it, so that the paint that covered the decals comes out; be careful to not damage your painting.

The Efis panels needs a 156x156mm bed, the FCU panel needs a 260x260mm bed, and the warning panels needs a 326x326mm bed. But you don't worry, if you have a smaller printer you can still cut the files with any slicer software (I recommend Slic3r). Print them, and than glue it together. On the "Backlight example" picture you can see two overhead panels I made using this technique. It works really nice! Let me know if you need any help =D
