This is my own project of guards for my bike Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z. It can be used only with original hand guards. We can mounting without any glue or screw. More than 25 bikers in Poland using this extenders. infill - minimum 50%, prefered - 60%. PLA, ABS. *stl and *obj files are available.
06.01.2021 - added files with some correction - more closed (Left_wind_protector_rev1 & Right_wind_protector_rev1). Please use *rev1 files.
13.01.2021 - added files with next generation (Left_wind_protector_68mm & Right_wind_protector_68mm)- 10mm mor than previous and holder. Difference between rev.1 (60mm) and 68mm you can see on the picture ( yellow is new one, red - Ver.1).12.04.2021 - added modification for XL extenders (68mm) - the hook is stronger.22.08.2021 - added modification for standard height 60mm (holes for threaded pins M3x6 od M4x6, DIN914). We need use drill dia 2.5mm for M3, 3.2mm for M4, taps are not needed.
22.02.2023 - oslona_60mm_new2 - a reinforcing rib was added, the wall near the groove was thickened, reinforcement was added in the most frequently cracked place of the cover. The edges at the ribs were smoothed and the groove on the inside was removed (easier breaking off the supports, stronger printout)
The best position for printing in my opinion is the position with the groove up. Deformation when cooling does not affect the shape of the cover, it ensures the best fit to the shape of the handbar.
