Recently, I started creating a new model railway and needed some baseboards. After a visit to Wickes, I bought some 9mm plywood 1220 x 606 mm, but cut it down to 500mm. I also bought some wood for supporting the plywood and to strengthen the plywood to build the layout; this wood was 38mm x 19mm, but when I measured it was more like 37mm x 19mm, so brackets were made to this size.
To help build and strengthen the boards, I designed and made some brackets. These worked out very well and enabled me to build the boards square and level. Brackets also really help with the rigidity of the baseboard.
Having been really happy with the outcome, I thought I would share the designs with other people to use.
Please see pictures for more detail on these brackets.
Hope someone finds these useful.
