Nuremberg Pauldrons Shoulder Armor

Nuremberg Pauldrons Shoulder Armor 3D print model

Description

An easy to assemble, shoulder armor file set that accurately matches 16th century German pauldrons.

I set out on a journey to design the best wearable 3D printed armor I could come up with, after being disappointed with the historical accuracy of what was available online.

I wanted something historically accurate to real mid-16th century antique armor from renaissance Europe. I believe that, apart from the material, plate thickness, fastener type, and the fact these are printed; these files are a decent attempt at accuracy and offers the same aesthetic and range of motion a real 16th century piece of armor would offer. Please note they are designed only for aesthetics as costume pieces, and do not offer any real protection from weapon strikes, let alone HEMA, buhurt, etc.

=> This is a set of .stl files I designed to fit a 220x220mm print bed. They are easy to print and assemble using minimal hardware.

=> I have included a merged version of every split part, for those of you with very large printers.

=> The models are either for left hand (LH) or right hand (RH), but can be mirrored in your slicer software.

=> I recommend printing with PETG or PETG-CF for durability, ease of sanding, and UV resistance.

I am very happy to share this labor of love with you, and I hope that the included guide can help you make your own printed “antique” piece, something that will look great in your next project.

Please, do not hesitate to contact me if you have any comments or if you run into issues.

Note: this is a file for non-commercial use. Please do not distribute it, print and re-sell, or use it for profit.
