Death Trooper helmet V2 - Free for who previously bought V1 3D print model

Description

V2 of my highly accurate death trooper helmet from Rogue One!

Whoever bought V1 before V2 was published on 2019.07.12, shoot me a message and you'll have this version for free.

What's new:

  • Totally re-made but with new modern parametric modelling techniques that allow it to have no glitching and extremely smooth surfaces with no pinching in detail areas as highlighted in the last image.
  • Based on the previous version which was highly accurate, maybe even the most accurate one out there at the moment.
  • Wall thickness has been closely inspected, and it's uniform and glitch free.
  • Has all the necessary snaps for easy alignment.
  • Has holes and plenty of free space on the inside for electronics.
  • The main dome is cut into 8 separate parts to fit most print areas.

Any chance of getting this updated for more accuracy in the rear portion of the dome? I just printed one and noticed in comparison to the movie and other helmets such as denuo novo's, that the back is more rounded than flat like theirs. Other than this it's perfect imo!

These files, while nice looking, are not completely accurate comparing to the 501st CRL images, in small and easy to miss ways. The dome is cut into pieces in a rather unintuitive way, slicing straight through the middle of details. The face is broken up in a more intuitive way but is not easy to assemble in these pieces. There are no alignment pins to help with assembly despite the description saying so. Also be aware that at 100% scale this helmet was way too big for my large head, so make sure you take measurements and scale appropriately the first time you print it. Eighty percent got it to a more reasonably scale. Overall a nice model but requires some work to be easy to assemble as well as getting approved for 501st if that is your goal.

I've finally put together one as a test just to see how it all goes together, and how it will look. It's amazing! So now I have to do another one for real. With the way this was modeled, it makes painting soooo much easier without having to tape off so many areas. Can't wait to finish a good one now!
