DESCRIPTION

The Condor is an open-source quadplane UAV project developed with aerial surveillance in mind. It features a 4+1 layout (quadcopter + tractor) with a high-aspect-ratio wing and a V-tail airframe. With a maximum take-off mass of 7.8 kg, Condor was designed for 3 hours endurance on internal batteries, or up to 5 hours with additional, externally mounted packs. Its large rectangular wing also makes it well suited for solar energy experiments.

The project reached the prototyping stage, but was postponed before the first flight. The prototype was half-complete when I had to focus elsewhere. Since then, I’ve learned a lot and would design many elements differently today, but I remain very satisfied with the concept, and plan to create a 3D-printable version in the future.

I hope Condor will serve as inspiration for builders, UAV developers, and aviation lovers. Any donations are greatly appreciated, and will help me dedicate more time to projects like this.

This design is shared for educational and experimental purposes only.
