The real Elios uses an injected ABS shell paired with expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam to provide strong impact protection while keeping weight reasonable.

3D printing settingsPrint Technology: FDM (for strength) or Resin (for detailed vent flaps)

Material: PLA for ease, or PETG / ABS for a more “authentic feel”

Layer Height: 0.15–0.2 mm for standard parts, 0.1 mm for fine features (vent flaps)

Infill:

Helmet shell: ~20–30%

Vent flaps and clip areas: ~40% to strengthen them

Supports: Yes — especially under vent flaps, the lamp clips, and any overhanging shell parts

Print Speed: ~50–60 mm/s (for FDM)

Bed Temperature: ~60 °C (PLA), ~70–80 °C (PETG)

Nozzle Temperature: ~200–210 °C (PLA), ~230–240 °C (PETG)

Nozzle Size: 0.4 mm recommended, but smaller (0.3 mm) can help fine details on vents
