DESCRIPTION

This is a generic fishing lure that has a flash skirt and a big teasing eye built entirely in quads. As a child I use to fish with my dad in the Sea of Cortez every weekend in our boat. These type of lures always did the trick to attract beautiful Sailfish, Marlin, and Dorado. The part is built native in Cinema 4D R15 which uses the cloth tool and belt, in C4D place it in your animation and let the lure fly (ensuring that the object its hooked on has a cloth collider) and you will get a beautiful fish fight effect with this object. Subdivision ready for all programs.

C4D model has the skirt spread open on frame 0, simply continue to play to get the simulation you desire. For other programs the skirt is preset for a nice elastic appearance with a subdivision factor of 2. Higher and lower res models available upon purchase (tell me how you want the skirt fashioned and I will send an updated file).

C4D Model contains some textures and several materials for best effect. Other programs the textures have all the same effects embedded but may need adjustment to achieve desired effect. Add this to your favorite fishing scene or boat scene to add some great flare at little cost.

NOTE: This model is native to Cinema 4D, all renders were created using C4D R15 and may not reflect other programs in terms of materials. Polygons represent the low resolution C4D model (Available for other programs on request).

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras

Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal
Learn more
No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.

Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
