A propeller is a rotating fan like structure which is used to propel the ship from the power generated by the main engine of ship. The transmitted power is converted from rotational motion which generates a thrust force acting on ship to move it forward. Its a 6 blade propeller as shown in the images . Characteristics of a 6 blade propeller :- 1) Manufacturing cost is high 2) Vibration is minimal from all other types. 3) 6 blade propeller have good holding power in rough areas. 4) With six blade propeller, the induced pressure field over the propeller decreases.
