DESCRIPTION

A 3D model of the second ship of her class; the steam ship Titanic, which was launched on Wednesday 31 May 1911, a remarkable date in shipbuilding and ship-owning history, her sister ship the Olympic as well as the tender SS Nomadic were handed over from the builder Harland and Wolff to the white star line.

The profile of the Titanic at this point was very similar to the Olympic, with minor exterior differences such as the portholes, as both ships were built from the same sets of plans, following the maiden voyage of the SS Olympic, several alterations were to be made. The major work was on B deck, in which in this model is kept as the original conception as the Olympic.

The components of this model are distributed in layers, so that can be hidden if not necessary such as the removable handrails' sections, wash ports, ... Etc

Originally meant to be a waterline model, this would explain the incomplete plates of the bottom strakes which are generally not visible for the digital diorama

No textures have been applied, only shaded, fbx file can be imported in 3dsmax or blender, already embedding the shading materials
