Description

Hyronemus or Hieroemous, this piece was used as the alternative to the chuck-a-luck dice cage in early casinos. Usually separates into 2 sections - round top, gambling bowl is lined with green felt, simonis cloth and rotates on a stationary base. A Beautifully turned wooden bowl on stand with felt liner; the dealer spins the bowl and throws three dice into it. Game abandoned between 1920's and 1930's. Not very much is known for why it was abandoned, but it was was replaced by roulette and craps.
