Cortisone molecule 3D model

Cortisone (CAS nimber 53-06-5) is one of the main hormones released by the adrenal gland in response to stress. It suppresses the immune system, reducing inflammation and attendant pain and swelling at the site of the injury. It may also be used to relieve the symptoms of eczema, atopic dermatitis and to stop the development of sarcoidosis.
