Retama RaetamRetama Raetam is a species of flowering plant native to Northern Africa in the western Sahara. Gloriously fragrant in bloom, this drought tolerant evergreen shrub is fast growing, and can reach up to 8 ft tall within two years. Blooms begin in spring and last for two months. The species contain cytisine, a toxic alkaloid.
