DESCRIPTION

Post-Apocalyptic Melee Weapon Pack

Post-Apocalyptic Melee Weapon Pack is a collection of 8 realistic, low-poly, game-ready weapons designed for horror, survival, FPS/TPS, zombie, action, adventure, and post-apocalyptic projects.

The pack includes a mix of conventional and improvised melee weapons with a worn and damaged appearance. The assets are suitable both as interactive gameplay weapons and as environment props for abandoned buildings, workshops, garages, industrial areas, survival shelters, urban ruins, warehouses, and similar locations.

The designs are inspired by real-world weapons and tools but do not reproduce any specific branded products. No logos, trademarks, or recognizable manufacturer markings are included.

All assets use real-world scale and are optimized for real-time game projects.

Included Weapons

  • Chainsaw
  • Improvised Scythe
  • Nail-Studded Bat
  • Improvised Scrap Blade
  • Katana

UVs and Materials

All weapons share a single atlas material to reduce material switches and simplify integration into real-time projects.

All models are fully UV unwrapped. The atlas contains no mirrored or overlapping UV islands.

Average texel density:

  • 2K textures — approximately 1,162 px/m
  • 4K textures — approximately 2,323 px/m

A single Substance 3D Painter project is used for the shared texture atlas.

Texture Sets Included

Both 2K and 4K versions are included for the following workflows:

  • Blender 2K
  • Blender 4K
  • Generic PBR 2K
  • Generic PBR 4K
  • Unreal Engine 2K
  • Unreal Engine 4K
  • Unity URP 2K
  • Unity URP 4K
  • Unity HDRP 2K
  • Unity HDRP 4K

The generic PBR texture set includes maps such as:

  • Base Color
  • Height
  • Metallic
  • Normal
  • Roughness

Engine-specific texture folders use the appropriate packed channels and normal-map conventions for their intended workflow.

All exported textures are supplied as 8-bit PNG files.

High-Poly Models

High-poly source geometry is included for all weapons.

Normal and ambient occlusion information was baked from the included high-poly models to the optimized low-poly assets.

This allows the low-poly models to retain detailed surface definition while remaining suitable for real-time use.

File Formats

  • FBX
  • OBJ
  • BLEND
  • GLB / glTF
  • SPP — Substance 3D Painter source project

The supplied export files contain the complete weapon pack.

Blender File

The .blend file was created in Blender 5.2.0.

All modeling modifiers have been applied in the final file.

Textures are supplied as separate files and are not packed into the Blender file.

Substance 3D Painter Project

The included .spp source project was created in Substance 3D Painter 10.0.1.

The project contains the shared atlas material used across the entire weapon pack.

FBX
This FBX file has successfully passed the CGT Standard technical and visual checks. The verification results are detailed in the section below.
File & scene
Binary FBX
Binary FBX file is more compact and faster to load and process.

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal
Learn more
No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.
Learn more
Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
