Description
This table-like staff is called an(案) in Chinese, a traditional furniture which was used to put some display items like vases, sculptures etc. in meeting room or study. Display Rack was an important identity furniture for scholars and officials in ancient China.

Most antique Chinese furnitures were made of wood with no metal nails. The most valuable wood amoung them used in funitures making were called red wood(mahogany). Beautiful wood carving are widely used in these wood furnitures.
