DESCRIPTION

Tactical Floor Safety Tile - Mag-lock Concept.

A special repeatable, electrically connectable tile, equipped with a number of smooth steel ball bearings, all sticking out on top of each tile surface deliberately, and a electro mechanical solution made into the tile below the bearings, to either magnetically lock or magnetically release the bearing balls, all in one go, or one release.

Now, if we used these tiles laid into a open air prison yard, or specific prison spaces like hallways, corridors, offices or other spaces, etc, etc, a correctional officer that sees a fight break out amongst prisoners, can press a single button to release the magnetic lock on all the bearings, so that the entire prison floor appears to be extremely slippery instantly, and no longer can inmates walk, run or fight anymore in a chosen or specific or even global to the prison area during a riot or an outbreak, while officers with prepared boots can easily walk and move across the floor.

All bearing mag-locks internally, as well as the entire tiles themselves are all connected in series, to be able to act as one [local] or [zone] single effect. The tiles are all insulated on the outsides for the walking and side connecting surfaces, and contain electrical coils, as well as emergency batteries, inside to create electro magnets on demand that lock or release the metal ball bearings. The individual tiles should be easy to perform maintenance on. Or we could also use a set of 4 internal solenoids or even yet another mechanism to lift a rough braking plate up under all ball bearing spheres to stop them all from moving and being able to spin freely through physical mechanical friction.

Each tile could have LED's built in, to act as a emergency backup lighting system, guiding prisoners to certain area's when there is smoke above, or even show the state of the floor that it is currently in, like blue for normal working operation and red for an emergency state with a slippery floor. Or flashing the lights to signal where the problem area is to other guards. The smaller we can make the tiles, the more useful they could be in certain situations. Many different purposes can be thought of for this mag-lock Quicksand Tactical Safety System.

Thank you for reading, and checking out my concept models, have a great day.
