Nicolette Brunklaus Oak and Silk pendant lamp

The pendant lamp Oak and Silk is an innovative, yet poetic lighting object where the combination of two opposite materials create an playful yet elegant design based on the enhanced colors of nature. The colourful silk banners are suspended by an elegant oak frame Suspended from an oak canopy by a single grey textile cable, the gentle moving silk banners, hanging from the elegant though sturdy oak-wood frame in inspiring colour compositions, allow a playful lighting object. Perfect above a dining table or in the living, this pendant light provides both a design statement and an ambient light.

Inspired by Lake Sognsvann The reflection of the tall green trees in the surface of Norwegian lake ‘Sognsvann’ was the initial inspiration for the Oak and Silk pendant lamps. The image of the seemingly printed abstract green bleed on the rich off-white silk is the poetic translation of the quiet, natural scenery and was taken by Nicolette Brunklaus during a walk around the lake.

The light source as a full moon The ‘Sognsvann’ was the first design version within the Oak and Silk pendant lamp series. When illuminated, the silk banner becomes semi-transparent, showing the otherwise concealed global light source as a full moon rising behind the tall trees.

Interchangeable silk banners can be ordered separately. Available in six designs, providing a personal completion in any modern or classic interior. The silk banners are interchangeable and can be ordered separately; a simple yet refined system allows you to change your interior in moments.
