This diploma project presents the concept of a contemporary eco-community composed of nearly zero energy houses (nZEB), designed to promote a sustainable and nature-integrated lifestyle. The main goal of the project is to develop a self-sufficient residential neighborhood where architecture combines energy efficiency, ecological materials, and shared community spaces to enhance the quality of living.
The architectural composition is based on simple and functional forms, optimized solar orientation, and the use of passive design strategies for energy conservation. Each housing unit is equipped with solar panels, advanced thermal insulation, and rainwater collection systems. Public areas include community gardens, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and social gathering zones, creating a green, peaceful, and cooperative environment.
