Lujiazui, Shanghai, China is located in the central part of Shanghai city, on the banks of the Huangpu River in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai. It is surrounded by water on both sides. To the west, it faces the Wanguo Architecture Expo Group on the Bund across the river, while to the north, it overlooks the North Bund across the river, covering an area of 31.78 square kilometers.

Lujiazui is the core functional area of the Shanghai International Financial Center, serving as the headquarters of multiple multinational banks in China (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) and East Asia. In Lujiazui, there are Oriental Pearl TV Tower Radio and Television Tower, Shanghai center Building, Shanghai World Financial Center, Shanghai Jinmao Building and other modern buildings, and the old wharf ruins are near the river.The area of Lujiazui has expanded from 1.7 square kilometers (in 1992) to 31.78 square kilometers (in 2021). The Oriental Pearl TV Tower Radio and Television Tower is located at the westernmost side of Century Avenue in Lujiazui. Along Century Avenue, there are three super tall buildings, including Shanghai Jinmao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Shanghai center Tower, as well as 50 financial buildings, including Bank of China and Bank of Communications, which have gathered more than 870 licensed financial institutions.
