DESCRIPTION

The Iban are one of the major indigenous ethnic groups in Sarawak. In older literature, the Iban people were also known as Sea Dayaks, although this term does not fully capture their identity or way of life. The Iban are widely distributed across Sarawak, particularly in the interior regions and along river valleys and their tributaries. Longhouses are traditionally found in areas such as Betong, Sri Aman, Kapit, Sarikei, Sibu, Lubok Antu, Batang Ai, Simunjan, and various other inland locations. The traditional longhouse of the Iban Dayak people in Sarawak, Malaysia, is essentially more than just a dwelling; it is a form of communal architecture that integrates family life, social activities, customs, economic pursuits, rituals, and Iban identity into a single unified structure. Architecturally, the house is fascinating, consisting of multiple family units arranged in a row and connected by a communal space under a single roof structure. Geometrically, the Iban longhouse is elongated and linear in form; viewed from above, it resembles a very long rectangle. The length of the building depends on the number of families residing within it. Each family occupies a unit known as a bilek, and these units are arranged side by side. In front of these units lies the ruai, a communal space that extends along the entire length of the building. The house was designed using the Sketchup application and rendered using Enscape to produce a more realistic appearance. There are 6 layers of structural elements in the application so that it makes modeling easier and more detailed and neater. The textures and materials used are included in the SketchUp application. with that, everything shown in the preview image is included in the sketchup application which contains everything. This 3D model sketch can be converted into various applications such as fbx, obj, 3ds, blend, and others. This 3D model can be used for students, researchers, architects, civil construction, humanists and many others. For further questions, you can do this via the shop or Email : 3rd.summer.studio@gmail.com ; Whatsapp : +6289692630617 ; Instagram : 3rd_summerstudio ; Youtube : 3rd Summer Architects
