All characters and the scene are merged together into one mesh. They most definitely are NOT separate.

This model intends to be a 3D recreation of a typical Neoclassical scene depicted in both paintings and sculptures. Neoclassicism itself takes inspiration from the Renaissance period, and mostly tends to represent iconic scenes from Greek mythology and their characters.

While this particular 3D Model does not recreate any scene in particular, it is however inspired by pieces such as:

“Parnassus”, by Andrea Mantegna - 1497

“The Romans in their Decadence”, by Thomas Couture – 1847

“Apotheosis of Homer”, by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres - 1827

“The Funeral Games of Patroclus”, by Jacques-Louis David – 1778

“Perseus, under the protection of Minerva, turns Phineus to stone by brandishing the head of Medusa”, by Jean-Marc Nattier - 1718

The main source of inspiration for the main pantheon building structure was the United States Supreme Court Building.

Neoclassicism (also spelled Neo-classicism) was a Western cultural movement in the decorative and visual arts, literature, theatre, music, and architecture that drew inspiration from the art and culture of classical antiquity. The main Neoclassical movement coincided with the 18th-century Age of Enlightenment, and continued into the early 19th century, laterally competing with Romanticism. In architecture, the style continued throughout the 19th, 20th and up to the 21st century. Neoclassicism is a revival of the many styles and spirit of classic antiquity inspired directly from the classical period.
