DESCRIPTION

The CASA C-295, currently Airbus C295, is a medium tactical transport aircraft that was designed by the Spanish company CASA in the 1990s as an evolution of the Airtech (CASA-Nurtanio) CN-235. Starting in 2000, with the incorporation of CASA into the European aeronautical group EADS, the aircraft was initially named EADS CASA C-295, and later received its current designation. It made its first flight on November 28, 1997 and entered service with the Spanish Air Force in 2001.
