CGTrader is a 3D model marketplace for computer graphics, 3D printing and virtual reality, backed by a strong professional designer community. On CGTrader, 3D artists, design studios and businesses share and sell their models. Enterprise and business customers can choose from a wide collection of high-quality 3D models or hire a designer for a custom job if the model needed cannot be found on the platform.
CGTrader gives an opportunity for talented 3D designers to showcase their work, get valuable feedback from the community, learn from peers and interact in a designer-friendly environment. We also help other businesses to generate business leads and increase the brand awareness.
The company was started in 2011 by a 3D designer Marius Kalytis. CGTrader is backed by Intel Capital and Practica Capital.
She has been working with startups since 2007 and has co-founded several companies, including one in digital and social marketing space. Her background comes from business and finance, but her passion is entrepreneurship: especially working with new companies and innovative products.
Marius has been working in the field of 3D design, graphics and animation since 1994. Previously he was the founder and CEO of a 3D visualization and animation company Visual Mind. Marius founded CGTrader to challenge the current industry model and provide more author-friendly royalty terms for 3D artists and designers. He has been working with CGTrader since 2010 and aims to make it the best 3D model marketplace worldwide.
Donatas started working with AutoCAD professionally at the time when it was not so common - in 1992. Two years later he became an AutoCAD instructor and certified expert. Since 2005, he served as CEO and shareholder of AGA-CAD Ltd. He was one of the very first people to believe in a global 3D model marketplace and democratizing the 3D model market.
Edmundas is a very versatile web developer and designer, with expertise and experience in both front-end and back-end development as well as UI design. Pokes Ruby on a daily basis for his own entertainment. Prior to CGTrader, Edmundas worked on several non-profit projects and made a living as a freelancer. The desire to change the world has not disappeared, and right now Edmundas is working to improve the 3D model market with CGTrader. He joined CGTrader in 2012.
Arvydas is responsible for driving traffic to CGTrader and analyzing and searching for new ways to make it grow. He is one of those people who hate answering emails, but he still often gets complimented for making other people’s lives better and easier, and… for being the tallest guy in the room.
Eduardas is an extremely positive person juggling different projects. He is responsible for the challenges happening on CGTrader, blog, forum management and other tasks related to marketing and community management. Being versatile, he adores learning new things, analyzing everything and everyone, being sarcastic and… Football. He hates Mondays, but wears a smile on his face. Even on Mondays.
If you at least once contacted us via online support, most likely you know who Mantas is. He is irreplaceable person taking care about our customers and community members. You can recognize him by the impressive beard, randomness and… Corny jokes. Being kind and mellow, Mantas is supportive not only for the community, but for the whole team.
Justas Janciauskas is CGTrader’s Sales Support Executive, responsible for guiding designers to successful merchandising and maintaining the customers happy. He started out as an intern and was soon recognized as an integral part of the team as well as a passionate customer service ambassador. Although an exceptionally picky eater, Justas is a never-in-a-bad-mood kind of guy and, probably, the most patient man in the office.
Jean-Baptiste Daguené is CGTrader’s Head of Business Development, responsible for all things driving growth – from attracting rock star talents to building CGTrader’s community and expanding the product offering. Prior to joining CGTrader in July, 2014, JB worked with some high-flying European start-ups and was one of the main protagonists in their transformation to leading global companies with offices around the world. Given his keen interest in innovation, healthy appetite for life and curious mind, it goes without saying that JB is a passionate traveller and a real people person.
If you have any technical questions regarding 3D, Justinas is here to help. Being a master of different software, he is passionate about CG industry - everything from 3D scanning to rendering. Justinas always tries to improve and learn new things, so he’s interested in an array of different activities that span from martial arts to making smoothies.
Žilvinas is a passionate web developer. He loves experimenting with new web technologies and believes that there’s nothing he can’t learn. Being remarkably ambitious, Žilvinas is passionate about extreme and competitive activities, electronic music and the startup ecosystem. He joined the team in late June after refusing a job interview with Google.
Having started his career at CGTrader as an intern, Justas became an irreplaceable member of the business development team. He is valued for analytical and critical mind and is responsible for searching for ways to grow CGTrader’s community through attracting new talents. He always has a number of solutions for different problems (as Justas says, he is known for seeing problems everywhere) and looks for ways to improve the processes he is working on.
Edvardas Šmulaitis is CGTrader‘s Marketing Technologist & Product Development Manager, responsible for everything concerning customer online experience and product development. He’s a natural-born entrepreneur, having launched the biggest music social network in Lithuania while still in his senior year of high school and developed his keen interest in international business by working for a US fashion e-commerce retailer. Since Edvardas is a passionate mélomane, it’s no surprise he’s bloody good at listening to what others have to say, both in business and life, so no action is ever taken until all the cards are on the table. What scares the socks off him is the dark art of cooking, but his ambitions to master it remain unbridled.
Aistė is our graphic designer. She takes care of visual materials for challenge competitions, infographics and other campaigns. Aistė is a self-critical and ironic person and she adores artbooks and video games. She is a talented painter - there is always a pencil and an eraser lying nearby, just in case the right mood strikes.
Motiejus is another versatile team player – his position description doesn’t really cover the work that he does. He’s our geek - the one playing with our 3D printer as well as writing in a blog, creating approach strategies and quickly getting reputation as the one who can learn anything. He says that he may not be the most empathetic person, he’s a really interesting and nice guy nonetheless. All in all, Motiejus is our jack of all trades.
Laura started as an intern and got quickly adjusted to her role. Her responsibilities include establishing long-term customer relationships as well as partnerships with industry-related companies. Laura can't blow a balloon, but she could take you for a ride with her 1971 VW beetle.
Eimilė joined the CGT crew in February 2016. An old-ish hand in the field of 3D modeling, she has finished an internship at MyMiniFactory in London. Eimilė is outgoing, and loves both arts and extreme sports. Friends describe her as a person who is positive, always tries her best and never gives up. One day, she‘ll buy a Mustang with the fortune she makes with 3D modeling.
Martynas joined the team on the last days of February 2016. Previously, he worked at Bored Panda and the sister project called DeMilked. Every word you read on CGTrader was written by him. He's a consummate video game fan, going as far as to spend two years studying video game magazines in Japan. He also knows a thing or two about miniature wargames. Boasting a luxurious mane of blonde hair and the ability to write anything, his three word description would be "Never. Shuts. Up."
