Golden Egg from Balbina the Goose - High Res 3D Print ready Free 3D print model

The 3d model of the golden egg you receive from Balbina the Goose when completing the ingame quest Duck, Duck, Goosed! in the pc video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, its expansion Blood and Wine, made high-res and 3d printable for a less video game/low poly look.

• the original 3d model has been extracted with the official The Witcher 3 REDkit modding tools
• low-poly LOD meshes have been removed
• low-res material with its texture has been removed
• scaled the model to its actual ingame size (12,4cm x 12,4cm x 17cm), set scale to 1, set rotation to zero and set rotation to be front facing
• subdivideded the low poly mesh to 18,432 polygons
• optimized the mesh to remove all non-manifold edges
• edited the base of the egg flat so it can stand and be printed with less issues

Notes for 3d printing from my testing, see uploaded images:

• optimize your 3d print for a more beautiful look, slow down the print speed, use smaller layer height, I used 0.1mm
• the print must use supports if your printer isn't able to print overhangs correctly
• use more walls, I used three instead of the standard two in my slicer application Creality Print, the 3d model has been printed on a Creality K1C
• my print was stable enough with 5% Gyroid infill, use concentric printing pattern
• I recommend to print the model in one session without multiple parts
• my Slicer apps sadly crashed trying to use it but I would try vase mode for printing
