Chongtong 총통 - Hand Cannon. Their proper name being seungjachongtong (승자총통), these earliest of guns comprised a small micro cannon affixed to the end of a rod or pole. A common practice for loading ammunition is to create a spit-wad of mud if no paper cartridge is available to secure the gunpowder and iron ball bullets within. When no ammunition is available, they also make for a sturdy melee weapon.
