PRINT HIM SOLID!!!
First rendition of my newest model a Centaur Male Wizard, with magic surrounding him.
Print him solid as i made the magic very thin, my current plan is to slice the magic off, and make a printable magic add-on for a basic model from him. then i can print the magic in translucent blue and him in the grey and make a cool character that in mid game i can just add the magic around him and remove it easily.
but right now, he is all one piece, i added the last two pictures to show you the amount of supports i used. i had to take my time, but it trimmed well, sadly i broke my gents tail off and had to glue it on, i dont think it will be a concern unless you rush like i did there. The magic is thin, so take your time trimming. i quite like this model, it took me like 60 hours to make, and at hour 59 adding detail i realized i never put his hand on the staff, so i modified the staff to be magic pulled to his hand, and i think that looks cool, it also allowed me to not have to do another hour or two of work as i dont know how to model well yet...
i bet a better resin printer would make him look even better. i bet i can make the layer smaller and get the detail better, but honestly, for DnD, i think this has lots of detail already. his staff is knarled up, he has buttons and such, flowing cape, wavy hat, magic and a spell physical forming, i imagined him as green/blue magic, but i bet fire magic or dark magic would look sweet too.
His base is thin but stable, i will make a more beefy base later, but i wanted a thin one for me, so i made it thin.
he is DnD player character sized at around 33mm tall from base, model prints at 44mm tall with magic as it is presented.
