This flat spring ring clasp features an open ring parallel to the clasp itself, helping your design lay flat while worn. After attaching to your design, simply solder it closed to secure your design to the clasp. A classic clasp, the spring ring is ideal for all but the heaviest of necklaces. A spring ring is simply a hollow ring with an opening in one side that is closed off by a sliding 'door' inside the hollow ring. The door is held in place by a tiny spring controlled by a tiny nib on the outside of the ring. Press the nib back to compress the spring and open the clasp; release it to close the clasp.
