DESCRIPTION

Summary

A door handle to freshen up my 1980s bedroom wardrobe. Curved and comfortable to use.

Fully parametric and prints in one piece without any raft or support material.

Instructions

Modify the OpenSCAD constants to match your requirements:

  • - The gap between the bolt holes
  • - The screw hole radius (current set to fit M5 bolts)
  • - The counter-sink screw head depth
  • - The bolt length

The defaults are based on a 108mm hole-spacing (?), 15mm thick door, and a 50mm length bolt. The model adjusts itself so the nut is flush with the end of the bolt. If you want the handle to be less proud, use 45mm or 40mm bolts.

Print without raft or support material then screw the bolt into the counter-sunk hole and through to the door. Secure with a nut and optional washer if the door material is particularly soft.
