If you have a desk at work with the same Aluminium feature at the top as shown then you can use this bracket to hold anything, here is my design for a mitutoyo caliper holder.

The main bracket uses 1 x M4 nut with a M4 Grub screw to secure in place after finding the right spot (glue the M4 nut in) then 2 x M6 nuts and Cap head screws to attach any holder, there is a location dowel that slides into the holder to help align to the bracket.

Pitch between the M6 holes is 25mm.
