DESCRIPTION

The Soviet N-1 Rocket was a failed Soviet Rocket that was supposed to be able to take Russian Cosmanauts to the moon as competition to the American Saturn V.The N-1 flew 4 times, and failed 4 times due to the NK-15's, which 30 powered the first stage, failing during launch. The reason for these failures is because the Soviets did not have a way to safetly test each engine separately, so they couldn't find out if the engines performed nominally unless test flown on an N-1 Rocket, therefore, each flown N-1 rocket failed in a massive explosion.

The N-1 was capable of carrying the Soyuz 7K-LOK Craft along with the Lander.
